In a very short period, there has been an explosion of colour around my home. There are flowers popping up everywhere. I�ve snapped more photos in one week than I�ve done in the past six months. Whenever I�m outside, I�m like a kid in a candy store as I go from plant to plant snapping pictures, and oohing and aahing along the way.

Aquilegia 'McKana Hybrids' has gorgeous blooms. I am in love with columbines.
Aster alpinus Dark Beauty makes the most amazing purple flowers.

My friend Joy brought me this lovely Rhododendron 'Roseum Elegans' last month because she didn�t have room for it in her garden. It�s starting to bloom and I am in awe. (Garden friends are the best!)

My next door neighbour gave me a whole bunch of iris bulbs last year, and their lovely blooms are gracing my garden. Not sure what type this is. Does anyone know?
I�ll be posting more of these types of pictures in the future. There are certainly enough of them. And I�ve no doubt, there�ll be oodles more to be taken.
