Research has shown that napping can provide a big boost for the brain. A US study discovered that individuals who napped 90 minutes in the afternoon experienced a whopping 20 percent boost in mental performance. Not surprisingly, people who suffer sleep deprivation show a significant decline in brainpower.
Looks like George Costanza had it right on Seinfeld when he built a napping area under his desk to get some much-needed shut-eye:

It�s not always feasible to schedule a nap, but it is a smart idea when you can.
