Time stands still best in moments that look suspiciously like ordinary life.
- Brian Andreas -
When you bike instead of walk you cover a lot of ground in a relatively short period of time, and ride through areas that you never could with a car. Its a wonderful way to discover hidden spaces, and interesting places. Like the abandoned home we ran across a few neighbourhoods away from ours...
| Be still my beating heart... |
| There were other abandoned buildings hear the house. |
| What happened to the roof? Well, at least there's plenty of light coming in. |
| Very unique window |
| Meanwhile, back at the abandoned house we discover a side door entrance being consumed by vegetation. |
| This is the front door. Did we dare enter? What do you think? |
| So wonderfully creepy! |
| At least you don't have to clean windows. |
| Aspiring artists have had a field day in here with their...um...interesting additions. |
| It looks like Tracy was here. |
| And so was Castro? |
| I'm guessing this kitchen is no longer serving anything. |
| This was probably a really nice fireplace way back when. |
| That it is. For this home. And for this post. |
I love abandoned places, and the creepier they are, the better. They look more ominous on cloudy days, but I havent figured out yet how to control the weather when Im photographing, so until then, Ill take what I can get.
Have a beautiful day, everyone!
