There are so many awesome inventions that instantly spring to mind, but I�m going to have to say that the humble and often forgotten flushing toilet rises to the top. This marvelous invention that we take for granted may not be as flamboyant as some others, but it has made our lives easier, and revolutionized public health.
Disposal of human waste is no longer a daily, disgusting struggle, we don�t have to use the outhouse, or worse, a bucket, and we no longer fear being doused by waste tossed from windows as we walk down the street. And our homes don�t smell like poop.
Can you imagine life without this invention? I shudder at the thought.
