Bikes and Sights: By The Lake

If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water.
- Loren Eiseley -

Many of our cycling outings this summer were along waterfront trails, which there is no shortage of in Kingston and the surrounding areas. Below are some photos that were taken while riding along Lake Ontario one lovely evening...way back in July.

There was the constant threat of rain, but we decided to chance it.

You could hardly distinguish between the lake and the sky.

Most of our trail was through Lake Ontario Park.

Oh! What's this? And how do we get closer to it?

Getting closer...

This leads to...

...this. We found a path to it!

We got off our bikes and walked over to get a closer look at this photographic treasure.

The most amazing man in the world taking a look around at the gorgeous view.

A view of  Lake Ontario Park from across.

With no wind, the water was very still. And magical.

There is nothing more relaxing for me than being near the water.

An adorable little island near the park. I can use one of these. How about you?

I am so grateful to be living in an area where youre always just a hop, skip and jump away from a body of water; my go-to place for the soul-soothing, stress-relieving, mind-clearing and spirit-renewing that I require from time to time.

Thanks for coming along on this cycling adventure!

Happy October, everyone! I hope its a great month for all of you.
