The length of a film should be directly related to the endurance of the human bladder.
- Alfred Hitchcock -
Who hasnt heard of Alfred Hitchcock? He is the master of suspense, the film director of famous work including The Birds, Psycho, Vertigo, Dial M for Murder, The 39 Steps and Rear Window, just to name a few. He was also the host and producer of the television series Alfred Hitchcock Presents that ran from 1955 to 1965 and featured dramas, thrillers and mysteries.
Interestingly enough, though, Alfred Hitchcock never won an Oscar for best director.
He is a nice tribute to him I found on YouTube.
Heres an interesting bit of trivia for you:
Did you know that Alfred Hitchcock had a morbid fear of eggs? Hes quoted as saying:
I'm frightened of eggs, worse than frightened, they revolt me. That white round thing without any holes have you ever seen anything more revolting than an egg yolk breaking and spilling its yellow liquid? Blood is jolly, red. But egg yolk is yellow, revolting. I've never tasted it.
Imagine that. The master of suspense was afraid and repulsed by tiny little eggs. Now theres a fascinating piece of trivia to file away in the interesting but absolutely useless information file in your brain.
