A very isolated trail with swampy bodies of water...and oodles of bugs! |
Yesterday we felt a little restless, eager to do something different. What to do...what to do...
???
How about a road trip?
!!!
So we hopped in the car after breakfast and drove to the big city of Toronto to spend the day, and visit a couple of attractions.
Our first stop was at Casa Loma, a Gothic Revival style house that was built between 1911 and 1914 to fulfil a Canadian financiers dream to one day live in a castle. He did. For awhile. And then it ended. Ill write about this in the future, and share a few photos.
This castle in midtown Toronto, Ontario is now a museum and landmark. |
Our next visit was to the Ripleys Aquarium of Canada, which opened its doors on October 16, 2013. And what did we think of it? OHMYFRIGGINGOSH... If you havent been to see this place, you must go. Right now. Drop what youre doing; get on a plane, train or automobile, and go. It is that good.
This. Place. Is. Amazing. |
Unfortunately, I did not bring along my big camera, just a point and shoot, so I dont have really nice photos to share. But I will share some of the ones I took in a future post about this incredible place.
Whats on for today? Who knows? Well decide as the day goes on.
A beautiful day to all!
(I have fallen behind on your blogs, but will catch up later today.)
