Each one of us interprets what we see in different ways. For example, in the photo below, I see parallel wires, soft clouds, a blue sky, a flock of birds...all the obvious things.
But I also see a non-conformist pigeon to the left, which makes this ordinary sighting a tad more interesting. And so my camera�s shutter button is pressed to capture the moment.
It�s all about perception, and Brazilian composer Jarbas Agnelli certainly can attest to that. While reading the newspaper one morning, he noticed a photograph of birds in silhouette perched on parallel wires, and interpreted what he saw as music. He cut out the image and made a song, using the exact location of the birds as notes.
The result is magical, and a testimony to the beauty in the ordinary:
And who knew that crows are (secretly) such great composers...
